A 14 member Jamaica Scorpions squad has been selected to participate in the 2024/25 CG United Regional Super 50 cricket competition.
However, the squad will not be officially announced until next week as the Board is yet to ratify the 14 players.
Nationwide Sports understands that former West Indies Under 19 player Brad Barnes has been recommended by the selectors to captain the team.
The squad is expected to start full on training on Tuesday and will also be involved in intra squad games leading up to the start of the season at the back end of October.
The Scorpions opening game of the season will be against the Barbados Pride on October 30 at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba Trinidad.
