2nd Cricket Test Between WI & South Africa Interestingly Poised

The second cricket test between the West Indies and South Africa at Providence in Guyana was interestingly poised at close on day two.

The Protease batting a second time, closed on 223 for 5, an overall lead of 239 with Kyle Verreynne 50 and Wiaan Mulder 34 sharing in an unbroken sixth wicket stand of 84.

Aiden Markam has so far top scored with 51 against Jaydon Seales 3 for 52 and Gudakesh Motie 2 for 61.

Earlier South Africa to a slim 16 run first innings lead after bowling out the West Indies for 144 early on the second day.

Former captain Jason Holder 54 and Shamar Joseph 25 held up the South Africans as the Windies added 47 runs for their last three wickets.

Mulder 4 for 32, Nandre Burger 3 for 49 and Keshav Majaraj 2 for 8, bagged the wickets for South Africa.
