A delegation of 35 members from the Jamaica Constabulary Force, JCF, arrived in Orlando, Florida to participate in the 2024 SWAT Roundup International Competition and training.
The delegation consists of two teams—one from the JCF SWAT and the other from the JCF Department of Weapons and Tactical Training, DWTT.
Head of Specialised Operations, ACP Howard Chambers says over the next five days, the teams will compete in four team events as they aim to deliver a strong performance.
In addition to the competitions, the event offers valuable opportunities for networking within the global law enforcement community.
ACP Chambers says it also serves as a platform for participants to explore the latest advancements in technology, tools, and weapons, making it a multifaceted experience that benefits the JCF at several levels.
He says the plans are to make Jamaica the leading partners for SWAT competitions in the region.
