The fairytale run of Afghanistan at the ICC T20 World Cup continued on Monday night after they pulled off a fantastic eight run win over Bangladesh in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The victory gave the Afghans second in their Super 8 group and a historic first ever appearance in a global semifinal.
Afghanistan first made 115 for 5 in their 20 overs.
Ramahdulla Gurbaz made 43 against Rishard Hossein 3 for 36.
Two rain delays meant Bangladesh needed to get a revised 114 from 19 overs.
But in the end they were bowled out for 105 in the 18th over.
Litton Das was left unbeaten on 54 against four wickets each from Naveen Ul Haq and captain Rashid Khan.
Afghanistan will face South Africa in one semifinal in Trinidad and Tobago while defending champions England will take on India in the other semifinal in Guyana.
