Alkaline Returns With ‘Tek A Gyal’

Alkaline did not release a song for almost three months, dropping his latest musical endeavour on Sunday night. ‘Tek A Gyal‘ is a witty track for the ladies, especially the ones who are confident enough to walk in on relationships and take over.

Initially, the artwork for the song was shared during the week, causing fans to speculate if a new song was on the way or if the deejay had a daughter. The speculations were put to bed with the new release.

While the deejaying is seemingly avoiding drama and controversy, electing to release a girl song instead of a hardcore street banger which may ignite quell feuds, the new song and artwork can be considered to be a well-orchestrated move.

Some lyrics, “tek over… Tek a gyal man yuh likkle section slippery… yo nuh ask question yuh just tek a gyal man… Gwaan with yo self gwaan with a bang… put har right out, election who can class yo.”

The artwork for the track shows female garments, clothing that ‘girly girls’ will wear.

In the true nature of rivalry, some vendetta fans believe that the deejay’s song is talking about Sidem with the clothes looking like an attire that the English female would wear, not to mention the lyrics of the song highlighting a female taking another girl’s man, something Sidem can be considered of doing as it relates to shorty and Kartel.

Only time will tell if the two Dancehall heavyweights will re-ignite their dormant feud.
