Tech magnate and CEO of the Amber Group, Dushyant Savadia, is attempting to shakeup the ride-hailing service in Jamaica through it’s new Amber On time App.
Mr. Savadia says the App comes with the safety and security of passengers as its core feature by offering a real-time armed response support provided by Hawkeye Security during life-threatening emergencies.
The Amber CEO also says all Amber Vehicles are fully tracked with real-time GPS, allowing passengers to share trip details with friends or family.
All drivers also undergo comprehensive background checks and professional vetting.
Mr. Savadia also emphasised the local nature of the App meaning all revenue go to the benefit of the country.
He says Amber Ontime also comes with added benefits for drivers including a flat weekly fee rather than the percentage based system used by competing services.

Amber OnTime is offering a two-hundred-and-fifty dollar discount on the first ride booked through the app during March and April, making it the ideal time for Jamaicans to switch to a safer, more reliable platform.
