West Indies batsman, Alick Athanaze, described his half century in the second innings of the drawn first Test against South Africa as bitter sweet.
Chasing 330 to win, the Windies reached 201 for 5 when play was called off.
Athanaze made 92, which included nine fours, while Keacy Carty and Jason Holder made 31 each.
Keshav Maharaj took four wickets for an eight-wicket match haul.
Athanaze says preventing a defeat was more important that scoring a century.

Resuming on 30 with out loss South Africa declared their second innings on 173 for 3. Tristan Stubbs made 68 and Tony De Zorzi 45.
Jomel Warrican took 2 for 57 for a six-wicket match haul.

The second Test is set for the Providence stadium in Guyana, starting August 15.
