Jamaica’s senior women’s football team forward, Khadija “Bunny” Shaw and her Manchester City teammate Lauren Hemp are both excited about being nominated for the Women’s Ballon d’Or award.
The Ballon d’Or is widely recognised as the most prestigious individual accolade in football.
Shaw finished top scorer in the Women’s Super League last season but Manchester City missed out on the title on goal difference.
She was also named the PFA Women’s Players’ Player of the Year and the FWA Women’s Footballer of the Year.
Hemp says Shaw is a huge asset to the team.

The ceremony takes place at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris, Monday afternoon at 2.
