Braithwaite Says Windies Could Have Won First Test

Captain of the West Indies, Kraigg Brathwaite, disagrees with suggestions that the Caribbean side was fortunate to come away with a draw in their rain affected first test against South Africa at the Queens Park Oval in Trinidad and Tobago.

Chasing 330 to win, the Windies reached 201 for 5 when play was called off.

Brathwaite dismissed comments that the regional side benefited from the rain Breaks.

Final scores, South Africa 357 and 173 for 3 declared, West Indies 233 and 201 for 5.
The second test is set for the Providence stadium in Guyana, starting August 15.
