The Los Angeles Lakers crashed to a 115-103 defeat to the Detroit Pistons in the NBA on Monday night.
Lebron James was two assists shy of a triple double, scoring 20 points to go with 11 rebounds in 40 minutes on the court and Anthony Davis scored a monster 37 to go with nine rebounds and four assists.
But the young Pistons, led Cade Cunningham’s 17 point, 11 rebound and 11 assist triple double, and Jaden Ivey’s 26 points were too much for the Lakers.
In other results the LA Clippers were too good for San Antonio Spurs winning 113-104. The Phoenix Suns brushed aside Philadelphia 76ers 118-116.
The Denver Nuggets stopped the Toronto Raptors 121-119 and the Indiana Pacers tagged the Dallas Mavericks 134-127.
Meanwhile, the Portland Trailblazers defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 118-100 and The Oklahoma City Thunder turned back the Orlando Magic 102-86.
Over in Washington DC, Steph Curry made a return from injury to lead the Golden State Warriors to a 125-112 victory over the Washington Wizards while the Milwaukee Bucks were edged 114-116 by the Cleveland Cavaliers.
And defending NBA champions the Boston Celtics routed the Atlanta Hawks 123-93, while the Brooklyn Nets edged the Memphis Grizzlies 106-104 and the Utah Jazz beat the Chicago Bulls 135-126.
In addition the Houston Rockets beat the New York Knicks 109-97 and the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Charlotte Hornets 114-93.
