People’s National Party, PNP, general secretary, Dr Dayton Campbell, is hitting back at government senator, Dr Saphire Longmore, for questioning the judgement of party president, Mark Golding.
Dr. Campbell was speaking at the PNP’s caretaker presentation event in South West St Ann on Sunday.
He says Dr. Longmore would be better off worrying about her lack of competence.
In her State of the Nation presentation in the Upper House on Friday, Dr Longmore made reference to a skit at a PNP meeting in Kingston where Mark Golding held a chain around the neck of a black, dreadlocked man.
The skit was intended to present Golding as a champion of the oppressed who frees them from bondage.
Dr. Longmore says the optics were bad and causes her to question Mark Golding’s judgement.
Dr. Campbell says Mark Golding’s critics will not succeed in their efforts to damage the comrade leader’s brand.
