Jamaica Premier League champions Cavalier take on Moca FC of the Dominican Republic in the semi-finals of the 2024 Concacaf Caribbean Cup at the Estadio Moca 85, on Thursday.
Moca finished second in Group “B” with three wins and a draw.
Defender Guillermo de Pena, midfielder Clifford Thomas and forward Gustavo Ascona were named to the group stage best eleven.
Cavalier was the winner of Group “A” with a three wins and a defeat.
The Jamaican side opened the tournament with two consecutive wins before closing the group stage with a 4-1 win over Arnett Gardens.
With 11 goals, Cavalier was the highest scoring team of the group stage.
Dwayne Atkinson was one of the top midfielders in the group stage with four goals and two assists to co-lead the Golden Boot race alongside teammate Shaquille Stein. Stein had four goals and one assist for Cavalier.
The two clubs will face each other for the second time.
Cavalier won the previous encounter, 3-0 in Group A during the 2023 edition, with a hat-trick from Shaniel Thomas at Sabina Park.
