Cavalier Opens JPL Title Defence With a Win

Champions Cavalier started the defence of their Jamaica Premier League title on a winning note, beating Portmore United 2-1 in the feature game of a Sabina Park double-header on Sunday.

Jalmaro Calvin and an own goal did it for Cavalier while Tarick Ximines got Portmore’s consulation.

In other games on match day two, newcomers Racing bagged their first points of the campaign after beating Dunbeholden 1-0, Vere United outplayed Molynes United 3-1 and Tivoli gained a point on the road in a goalless draw with Humble Lion.
