CAVALIER HEAD into their second straight Concacaf Caribbean Cup semi-final when they play against Moca of the Dominican Republic at the Estadio Complejo Deportivo Moca 86, in the Dominican Republic today at 7 p.m.
Rudolph Speid, Cavalier coach, says that while the first of the two legs will be away, his side wants to come away with an advantage.
“We will give a good account of ourselves. We are really going there to get a positive result, not going there to try and draw and come back to win at home.
“We are the only team from Jamaica left in the competition, and we really need to do something special this year so that Jamaica can feel proud.
“We are very comfortable playing home or away. I don’t think that will be affecting us. And we have prepared properly,” he said.
Last season’s finalists, Cavalier, turned back the Spanish-speaking team 3-0 in the group stage to top their group over their opponents last term, and Speid said they are confident and prepared for another win against the Moca team.
“This is really the most important match we have to play now that we are focusing on. We had a couple days to look at what they have done and see if we can counter it.
“I know everything about them. It (Dom Rep) is somewhere we have gone before, so we know the place and we know what to expect.
“We just need some of these players that have small niggling injuries to get back to full shape and we will be okay,” he said.
