Member of Parliament, MP, for Central Kingston, Donovan Williams, has credited the reduction in major crimes in the constituency to good relations between member of the community and the police.
He was speaking at the Jamaica Labour Party’s Area One Council Meeting at Holy Family Primary School in central Kingston on Sunday.
No homicide has been recorded in the Kingston Central police division since mid-November last year. The last time such a period was recorded was seven years ago, in July 2018.
Elsewhere in the division, the communities of Parade Gardens and Rose Gardens have seen a full year without a homicide. MP Williams says Central Kingston is thriving despite some challenges.
