Commentator: Dearth of Qualified Candidates to Captain Windies Test Team

Veteran cricket commentator, Joseph ‘Reds’ Perriera, says there are not many players with leadership qualities to be appointed captain of the West Indies test team.

The captaincy became vacant following Kraigg Brathwaite’s announcement that he’ll be stepping down as captain on Monday.

Shai Hope who is the one day international captain, was on Monday announced as the new captain of the Twenty20 team replacing Jamaica’s Rovman Powell.

Perriera believes Hope should be made captain of all three formats.
