Hayley Matthews will again lead the West Indies women in the ICC T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates from October 3-20.
The tournament will take place across the two venues in the UAE – Dubai and Sharjah.
The ninth edition of the cricket tournament was supposed to be hosted by Bangladesh but was moved out due to the political unrest in the country.
Meanwhile, Deandra Dottin has been named in West Indies’ squad a month after reversing her international retirement.
Dottin had surprisingly retired from the international game in 2022 citing reservations with the team environment.
In all, there are four changes to the Matthews-led 15-member squad from their last 2-1 T20I series away in Sri Lanka in June.
The squad welcomes Ashmini Munisar, Mandy Mangru and the uncapped Nerissa Crafton.
The other members of the squad are, Shemaine Campbelle, Aaliyah Alleyne, Afy Fletcher, Chedean Nation, Chinelle Henry, Karishma Ramharack, Qiana Joseph, Shamilia Connell, Stafanie Taylor, and Zaida James.
Among those who were part of the squad in Sri Lanka but missing from the World Cup squad are Cherry Ann-Fraser, Rashada Williams, Shabika Gajnabi and Kate Wilmott.
