Danishka Williams Wants Stand-Alone Ombudsman Reinstated

People’s National Party, PNP, standard-bearer in South West St. Ann, Danishka Williams, is calling for the reinstatement of a stand-alone political ombudsman following removal of her campaign billboards in the constituency.

According to Miss Williams, material including poster boards, have repeatedly been removed and destroyed. She says the latest incident occurred on or before Easter Monday.

In supporting her call, Miss Williams says the political ombudsman’s office is a vital institution that once served as an independent arbiter to address political misconduct and preserve electoral fairness.
