The Jamaica Stock Exchange, JSE, says trading will resume in EduFocal Limited’s shares on its Junior Market, effective Friday, June 21, 2024.
It says EduFocal has submitted its 2023 Audited Financial Statements for the period ended December 31, 2023, which was more than 90 days overdue.
The Exchange says due to the filing of the outstanding 2023 Audited Financial Statements, EduFocal has remedied its breach of the JSE Junior Market Rule Appendix 2, Part 4-1-e, which led to the suspension of trading in its shares on June 4, 2024.
Managing Director of the JSE, Dr. Marlene Street Forrest says there’s no reason that the shares should remain suspended and she’s pleased to reinstate trading in EduFocal Limited’s shares.
And, effective June 18, 2024, Kevin Donaldson has resigned from his role as Audit Committee chair at EduFocal.
The company says his resignation is due to personal reasons and is not related to any disagreements with the company’s operations, policies, or procedures. Mr. Donaldson will remain a director of EduFocal Limited.
In the meantime, EduFocal says Durval R. Williams has been appointed to its Board of Directors, effective June 18, 2024.
The company says Mr. Williams brings extensive audit, risk management, and finance experience to the board.
He currently serves as Head of Internal Audit at Supreme Ventures Limited, a role he has held since 2020.
