The Essence of Reggae Music Festival, produced by Frankie Music Productions is all set to kickstart Reggae Month 2025 on Saturday, February 1, at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre, in St Andrew.

The festival celebrates reggae, showcasing its evolution, diversity, and enduring impact on the world.

“We are thrilled to present the Essence of Reggae Music Festival 2025, which promises to be an unforgettable celebration of Jamaica’s rich musical heritage,” said Grammy-winning producer and businessman Comar ‘Frankie’ Campbell of Frankie Music Productions, founder and organiser of the festival.

He added, “Our lineup features some of the most talented and influential reggae artistes, and we can’t wait to share this experience with music lovers from around the world.”

I-Wayne, Munga Honourable, and Tanya Stephens have already been revealed as the first headliners, and with more artistes to be announced soon, the anticipation for this year’s staging continues to build.

“People expect something bigger and better with each staging, and we intend to oblige,” Campbell said last year, a promise the 2025 lineup is already fulfilling.

He and his team are steadily building on the success of its 2024 edition, which featured standout performances from Sizzla Kalonji, Richie Spice, and Queen Ifrica. Last year’s event also included workshops on artiste development and the music business, reflecting the festival’s commitment to empowering the industry.

Officially endorsed by the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, the Essence of Reggae Music Festival continues to elevate Brand Jamaica on the global stage.

Gates open at noon and there will be music workshops from 12 to 5 p.m. focusing on music production, copywriting, management, digital marketing, and music sales. The concert is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
