There is a call emanating from the Parliament for the Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency, MOCA, to probe Labour Day spending by the PNP-controlled Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation, KSAMC.
Government Senator Abka Fitz-Henley made the call in the Senate on Friday.
Daina Davy reports.
In making the call, Senator Fitz-Henley says the Mayor of Kingston, Andrew Swaby, has questions to answer.
The questions from Senator Fitz-Henley were raised as the PNP KSAMC corruption scandal is deepening.
Fitz-Henley said he cannot rely on Mayor Swaby for a sincere answer.
The Government Senator is calling on the anti-corruption body to step in.
Senator Fitz-Henley also renewed his call for the resignation of PNP General Secretary, Dr. Dayton Campbell and Mayor Swaby.
The Government Senator has pushed back at Campbell’s dismissal of the call for his resignation.
