Jamaica’s National Senior women’s football team crashed to a 3-nil defeat to France in their International Friendly at the Stade Auguste Bonal in eastern France today.
Clara Mateo shot the host ahead after 22 minutes.
Veteran Wendie Renard doubled the lead 17 minutes later, before Sandie Baltimore added a third in the 48th minute.
This was the sixth straight defeat for Jamaica’s women’s team and only their second ever meeting with the French, the first ended in a goalless draw at the World Cup in Australia last year.
Coach of the Reggae Girlz, Hubert Busby, admits they could have done better.
However, he said with the short time they were in camp they had a few things they had to focus on.
Busby says they’ll now turn their attention to the matches against South Africa on November 29 and December 2.
