Fraser-Pryce, Jackson, Thompson Named in Jamaica’s World Relays Squad

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Shericka Jackson and Kishane Thompson have been named in Jamaica’s 31 strong contingent for the 7th World Relays in Guangzhou China May 10 and 11.

Fraser-Pryce and Jackson will be key members of the women’s 4x100m relay squad which is completed by Niesha Burger, Tina and Tia Clayton, Serena Cole, Natasha Morrison, Alana Reid and Krystal Sloley.

Thompson, who won 100 metre silver at the Paris Olympic Games last year is joined on the men’s 4x100m squad by Yohan Blake, Ackeem Blake, Rasheed Foster, Bryan Levell, Julian Forte, Javari Thomas and Rohan Watson.

The women’s mile relay squad is made up of Kelly-Ann Beckford, Roneisha McGregor, Shian Salmon, Ronda Whyte, Jodean Williams and Stacey-Ann Williams.

While national 400 metre record holder Rusheen McDonald leads the men’s mile relay contingent with Javier Brown, Zandrion Barnes, Demar Francis, Malik James-King, Tarees Rhoden and Delano Kennedy.

Mark Elliott is technical leader, while Paul Francis, Sean Michael Samuel and Michael Frater are the coaches.
