Meanwhile Triple Jump star Shanieka Rickettes and Swimmer Josh Kirlew will carry the Jamaica Flag at the opening ceremony next Friday.

JOA President Chris Samuda says he’s confident the four individuals selected, are deserved of the special roles.

Samuda says it was important they take the unusual step of naming the captains and the flag/bearers well ahead of the games.

Meanwhile the most of the JOA management team is already in Paris preparing to receive the athletes when they arrive next week and Samuda says things are progressing smoothly.
