The last six spots to the round of 16 at the European Football Championships were determined on today’s last day of group action.
The day was highlighted by the biggest shock of the tournament so far, with Georgia beat one of the favourites Portugal 2-nil in Gelsinkirchen to qualify as one of the best third place teams.
Despite the loss Portugal topped the group ahead of Turkey who defeated Czechia 2-nil in Hamburgh.
Romania finished top of group E after playing out a1-all draw with Slovakia in Frankfurt, the Slovaks went through as one of the top third place finishers after Belgium despite a disappointing goalless draw with Ukraine, secured the runner up spot.
The match-up for the round of 16 will see Spain facing Georgia, Germany against Denmark, Portugal versus Slovenia, France versus Belgium, Romania against Netherlands, Austria-Turkey, champions Italy battle Switzerland and England against Slovakia.
The round of 16 kicks off on Saturday.
