Opposition Leader Mark Golding says he’s not deterred by the threat of legal action by attorneys representing Prime Minister Andrew Holness.
Last Thursday, Prime Minister Holness instructed his attorneys to initiate defamation lawsuits against key figures in the opposition People’s National Party, PNP, following statements made during a media briefing.
The comments concern the timeline of when Prime Minister Holness became aware that he was under investigation by the Integrity Commission into allegations of illicit enrichment.
In response, Mr. Golding challenged the prime minister, saying he is ready for the legal battle.
Mr. Golding insists that Prime Minister Holness was fully aware of the investigation and continues to call for his resignation.
