Minister of Sport, Olivia Grange, has sent best wishes to members of Jamaica’s team to the five day World Athletics Under-20 Championships in Lima, Peru, starting today.
In a release, Minister Grange encouraged the young athletes to “enjoy the experience of representing Jamaica on the world stage.”
The Minister said the country was “already very proud of the athletes” for qualifying for the Championships and said she was “confident that they will do their best.”
She urged the country to give full support to the entire team, including coaches and officials.
