Coach of Jamaica’s senior men’s cricket team, Robert Haynes, says he’s excited to once again lead the Jamaica Scorpions in the CG United Super50 Cup in Trinidad and Tobago, from October 29 to November 23.
This will be Haynes’ third stint as head coach of the senior team.
The Jamaica Cricket Association recently named the 14-man squad which will be led by John Campbell, with Kirk McKenzie as his deputy.
The squad also include Excelsior High standout Tamarie Redwood.
Since 1972 Jamaica has won the tournament on nine occasions, including the title they shared with the Leeward Islands in 1977-78 season.
Their last hold on the title came in 2022-23.
Haynes believes he has the players to help the country lift its 10th trophy.
