Kingston Hummingbirds and St. James Sharps were winners in Sunday’s round of matches in the Red Stripe Flavours Netball Jamaica Elite League at the Stadium courts.
The teams played under trying conditions due to poor lighting at the facilities.
In the opening match, The Sharps beat the St. Ann Orchids 53-39.
Shanoy Washington scored 25 points, and Mischea Creary 27. Sabrina Spence with 30 points fro the Orchids was named the Powerade Power Play shooter of the match.
Meanwhile, the second match between the Hummingbirds and St. Catherine Racers was the most affected by the poor lighting at the stadium courts.
The Hummingbird came away 58-50 winners.
The Hummingbirds’ Simone Gordon with 45 points was named Powerade Power Play shooter of the match.
