India Mounts Fight Back Against New Zealand in 1st Test

Host India has fought their way back into the first cricket Test against New Zealand in Bengaluru.

At the close of play on day three India were 231 for 3, they trail by 125 runs.

Virat Kohli, 70, and Sarfaraz Khan, 70 not out, have so far led the way for the home team with captain Rohit Sharma, 52, and Yashasvi Jaiswal, 35, also scoring well against Ajaz Patel, 2 for 70.

Earlier, the Kiwis who resumed on 180 for 3 overnight, went on to make 402 all out in reply to India’s first innings 46 all out.

Rachin Ravindra slammed 134 with 13 fours, Devon Conway 91 and Tim Southee 65.

Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja bagged three wickets each.
