The country’s point-to-point inflation rate fell slightly at the end of January. That’s according to the latest information from the Statistical Institute of Jamaica, STATIN.
STATIN says the point-to-point inflation rate for the month was 4.7 per cent.
This is down from the five per cent recorded in December 2024.
STATIN says the rate was influenced mainly by changes in the division food and non-alcoholic beverages, housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels and restaurants and accommodation services.
The rate remains in line with the Bank of Jamaica’s mandated rate of four to six-percent.
