Chairman of JFF Technical Committee, Rudolph Speid, says they have received overwhelming interest for the position of head coach of the Jamaica National senior men’s football team.
The post became vacant following the resignation of Icelandic coach Heimir Hallgrimsson.
Hallgrimsson resigned after the Reggae Boyz final game at the Copa America tournament in the United States where they went down 3-0 to Venezuela.
Speaking on Sports Nation Live, Speid says the next national coach has to fit a specific criteria.
Speid also dismissed suggestions that the JFF suspended Aston Villa Winger, Leon Bailey, to prevent him from being considered for selection to the Reggae Boyz squad.
