The Jamaican athletes who participated in the two week training camp in Stuttgart, Germany, arrived in Paris Wednesday morning to begin their quest for Olympic glory.
They are now the second batch from the full contingent to check in at the Olympic Village.
Wayne Walker is in Paris and has more in this report.
Just over 20 members of the track and field contingent including coaches, athletes and managers pulled into the Garden Aurd metro station East of Paris at 2:15 French time this afternoon after spending the last two weeks in Germany.
Among those arriving today was 100 metre hot shot Oblique Seville, consistent thrower Travis Smikle, 800 metre hopeful Natoya Goule and Cherokee Young.
Team manager Ludlow Watts, technical leader, Maurice Wilson, and coach Paul Francis were also among the group. They were met by chief of mission Ian Kelly who has been in Paris for the past two weeks.
Goule told Nationwide Sports that the camp up in Germany was hugely beneficial.
As for her own personal expectation the many times national champion says she is rounding into form at the right time.
Watts says he was more than pleased with the facilities provided for the athletes in Germany.
More Jamaican athletes are due in Paris over the next 24 to 48 hours as we draw closer to the opening ceremony on Friday.
