Jamaica’s Women Drop to 2nd Place at Caribbean Golf Championships

Puerto Rico overtook Jamaica’s lead in the ladies section at the end of day two of the 67th Caribbean Amateur Golf Championship which is being played at the Iberostar Golf Course in the Dominican Republic.

Puerto Rico ended round two with a minus three score for the team section for the George Teale Trophy, while Jamaica ended with a plus four score.

Emily Mayne and Mattea Issa were the contributors to the team’s score for the round.

On the men’s side Jamaica maintained their third place behind Puerto Rico and host the Dominican Republic.

The four contributors to the Jamaica team score were Rocco Lopez, Ryan Lue, Jack Stein and Oshae Haye.

The men are in the hunt for the Herman Cup in the mine-team regional championship.
