Jamaica’s 13-member team is back on the island after competing in the recent IPF/NAPF North American Regional Powerlifting Championships, held in Arizona.
The Jamaicans returned with 15 medals.
Head coach, Jeremy Owen, says the team, known as the Jamaica Spartans, showcased their strength and determination on the international stage, cementing Jamaica’s growing presence in the powerlifting world.

Meanwhile, Bruce Higgins, competing in the 120kg weight class, delivered a standout performance, earning third place overall.
Higgins’ won silver in the squat and bronze medals in the bench press, deadlift, and overall placing.
