Jamaica Wins 45 Medals at Carifta Swim Championships

Jamaica ended the Carifta Swimming championships in fourth place with 45 medals: 18 golds, 12 silvers and 15 bronze.

The Jamaican swimmers were responsible for two national relay records on last night’s final session at the championships.

The new records came in the 13-to-14 boys freestyle 4-by-50m relay and the 15-to-17 boys freestyle 4-by-50 relay.

Kia Alert earned two more gold in the 50-metres freestyle and 1-hundred breaststroke 11-to-12 girls.

Arush Rochlani bagged gold in the 400-metres freestyle in a close finish and Noland Barrett won the 400-metres freestyle.

The Jamaican swimmers are due back home this evening.
