Jamaican Quarter Miler Banned for 2 Years

Jamaica’s quarter miler Tifanny James has been sanctioned by the Athletics Integrity Unit, stemming from three whereabout failures within 12 monuth.

The 27 year old James was handed a two year ban by the AIU in March.

James the former Under 20 World 400m champion, has been listed on the AIU website as one of 22 athletes sanctioned in March alone.

Her ban will run through the rest of this year and most of 2025 and she will only be eligible again to compete on November 4, 2025.

The suspension took effect on June on June 19, 2023
