The Jamaica Boxing Association, JBA, will host its first fight card for 2024 at the Stanley Couch Gym on Saturday evening at 7.
The card will feature at least seven local amateur bouts ranging from novice to elite with some of the island’s national boxers on show.
This highly anticipated event will kick-off a series of monthly fight cards at Stanley Couch Gym and is dubbed Gloves Over Guns Futures Programme.
President of the JBA, Stephen “Bomber” Jones, says the boxers are anxious to get in the ring as they have been training for months without any competition.
Jones says the Jamaica Defense Force is on board with their boxers and support staff, therefore there will be some very good bouts which the public should find interesting.
Additionally, all the clubs across the island are on board for tomorrow’s fight card.
