JC Hutchinson Not Seeking Re-election in NW St Elizabeth

JLP General Secretary, Dr. Horace Chang has confirmed reports that Member of Parliament for North West St Elizabeth, the JLP’s JC Hutchinson, will not be seeking re-election at the next General Elections.

Last November, residents of North West St Elizabeth, who identified themselves as JLP supporters, protested calling for Hutchinson to resign.

They cited poor performance and urged the party to install a younger representative.

MP Hutchinson recommended the principal of Lacovia High, Andrew Lewis, to be his replacement.

Dr. Chang says the JLP will be reviewing the nominee.
