President of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF), Michael Ricketts, has extended condolences to the family of the Federation's former president, Heron Dale, who died earlier this week after prolonged illness.
“Dale was an instrumental figure in shaping the JFF into the thriving organisation it is today. We are deeply saddened by his passing. His unwavering commitment to our sport and its community will be deeply missed. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” a statement from Ricketts read.
Dale served as president for a brief two-year period, from 1992 to 1994.
He was also an attorney-at-law and a dedicated director of the Portland Chamber of Commerce focusing on business and community development in his home parish.
