One of the aspirants to become Jamaica Labour Party, JLP, caretaker for North East Manchester, Hidran McKulsky, says he will not be deterred by the endorsement of his rival by outgoing member of parliament, Audley Shaw.
Mr. McKulsky says the endorsement does not automatically make Omar Miller the caretaker, and he will continue to work for the people.
Mr. Shaw, who served as MP for more than 31 years, gave Mr. Miller the nod at a JLP constituency conference on Sunday.
Mr. McKulsky, who is an educator and principal of Holmwood Technical High School, also raised an issue with the lack of an invite to either the planning of or attendance at Sunday’s conference.
