Political commentator Kevin O’Brien Chang says the Public Relations Council to be set up by the Jamaica Labour Party, JLP, may assist the party to communicate more seamlessly on critical issues.
Coming out of its Central Executive meeting on Sunday, the JLP announced that the council will lead the party’s communication efforts. It says the membership of the council will be revealed at a later date.
He says the chairman and members of the council should speak with one voice and prevent additional speakers from clouding the party’s position on important issues.

Meanwhile, political commentator Lloyd B. Smith says the crafting of the party’s messaging must focus more on Members of Parliament and not be so overly-reliant on Prime Minister Andrew Holness.
