JOA President says Athletes Are Ready For Olympics

President of the Jamaica Olympic Association, Christopher Samuda, says the country’s athletes are ready to seek Olympic glory as the 33rd Olympiad officially began with the opening ceremony in Paris today.

Jamaica’s is represented by a 66 member team.

62- track and field athletes, a Judo fighter, 2-swimmers and a diver.

Samuda says he met with the athletes and they indicated that they are ready to take on the best in the world.

He says the Jamaicans accept the role of motivators for future stars
