John Campbell, who recently returned from a 22 month ban for breaching an anti-doping rule, has been sensationally named to lead the Jamaica Scorpions in this season’s CG United Regional 50 over cricket tournament.
Campbell will have discarded West Indies batsman Kirk McKenzie as his vice-captain for the tournament which bowls off on October 29 in Trinidad and Tobago.
Two newcomers were named in the 14 man squad Tamarie Redwood and Odain McCatty.
The rest of the squad is Javelle Glenn, Jermaine Blackwood, Brad Barnes, Romaine Morris, Odean Smith, Markino Mindley, Ojay Shields, Gordon Bryan, Javveor Royal and Carlos Brown.
Four reserves were also named Peat Salmon, Andre McCarthy and Daniel Beckford.
Jamaica will open their campaign on October 30 against Barbados Pride at the Brian Lara Academy.
