Jamaican fast-food giant Juici Patties has ambitious plans to expand its footprint in the United States, aiming to establish 3,000 locations nationwide.
Speaking on Taking Stock, CEO of Juici Patties USA, Daniel Chin said for the first two years, the company plans to concentrate its efforts on building a strong presence in Florida, New York, and Georgia.
Chin said locations in Atlanta will open by next year.
The CEO said the company has been planning the US expansion for six years.
“I’m a strong believer in measuring three times but only cutting once. Over the years we’ve been optimizing operations manuals and ensuring that our franchise disclosure documents are complete and represent to a franchisee what it means to own a franchise,” Chin said.
He said that four locations are already up and running in Florida with 17 more under construction. Additionally, the first location in the Bronx, New York is expected to open early next year with seven more to follow across the state.
According to Chin, despite the company’s seemingly rapid growth in the US, it is actually taking a measured approach to its expansion to ensure each franchise receives adequate training and support.
To maintain consistency and quality the company imports its spices from Jamaica and makes the patties fresh throughout the day in a central kitchen that distributes to the stores.
