Olympic 100-metres champion, Julien Alfred’s visit to her native, St. Lucia is set to end with a concert at the Darren Sammy stadium, today.
The concert will feature the best musicians in St. Lucia.
It’s been a hectic experience for her since she arrived on the island on September 24.
She did a motorcade to officially greet the people of St. Lucia, then she had an evening with the Governor General.
Alfred, who became her country’s first Olympic medallist when she won gold in Paris in August, has now been named as the official ambassador for St. Lucia’s tourism.
A mural was also unveiled at her alma mater, Ciceron Primary School where she told those in attendance that she was inspired by the success of Usain Bolt.
She encouraged the students to dream big.
