Opposition Leader, Mark Golding, says any decision by Juliet Holness to step down as House Speaker will be “up to her and her husband”.
The opposition leader was responding to journalists at a hastily called press briefing at his West King’s House offices following the abrupt end to his budget presentation.
Mr. Golding says the government’s walkout of the House proves that Parliament is in need of what he described as an independent Speaker.
Mr. Golding says both he and Opposition Spokesman on Finance, Julian Robinson, have raised concern about Mrs. Holness’ approach to her role in the past.
