Karl Samuda: I Was Blindsided by Retirement Announcement

Member of Parliament for North central St Andrew, Karl Samuda says he was blindsided by the JLP’s General Secretary’s disclosure that he would not be seeking re-election in the next general elections.

According to Mr. Samuda despite his age, certain processes and courtesies must be followed before an announcement of this nature can be made.

Dr. Chang made the confirmation during a media briefing on Thursday at the JLP’s Belmont Road Headquarters in St. Andrew.

Mr. Samuda said he had no clue the announcement was going to be made.
