Kavem Hodge cracked a maiden Test century on Friday to lead a strong West Indies batting performance on day two of the second Test against England at Trent Bridge in Nottingham.
The West Indies are 351 for 5 at stumps replying to 416 all out made by the home team.
Hodge slammed 120 off 171 balls and hit 19 fours. He also shared in a fourth wickets stand of 175 with Alick Athanze who missed out on his maiden test ton after he was removed for 82 by England captain Ben Stokes.
Athanaze slammed 10 fours and a six.
Captain Kraigg Brathwaite made 48, Mikyle Louis, 28, and Jamaica’s Kirk McKenzie, 11.
The West Indies trail by 65 runs with Jason Holder 23 and Joshua Da Silva 32 the not out batsmen.
