Jamaica’s Brandon King and Kacey Carty of St. Maarten slammed impressive centuries at Kensington Oval in Barbados on Wednesday night to steer the West Indies to an eight-wicket victory over England to seal a 2-1 win their three match One Day International Series.
King cracked 102 and Carty 128 not out, as the West Indies set 264 for victory, made 267-for-2 with 42 balls to spare.
Carty and man of the match King put on 209 runs for the second wicket, the second highest partnership for any wicket for the West Indies in One Day International history.
Carty became the 46th man to score a One Day hundred for the West Indies.
Earlier, England sent to bat made 263 for 8 in their 50 overs. Phil Salt led the charge with 74.
Man of the series Matthew Forde ended with 3-for-35 while Alzarrie Joseph and Romario Shepherd grabbed two wickets each.
West Indies captain Shai Hope says he’s happy to see the team putting into play what they do in practice.
Hope was also impressed with King and Carty.
